Get Outdoors! - Recreation Areas

Looking for a great way to enjoy the outdoors on your day off or spend a little time with your family? Mount Morris Dam has a variety of picnic areas, some with BBQ grills, which can cater to your individual needs. All areas are first come, first served and are located close to outdoor restrooms. There are also two playground areas that are big hits with the kids! Let them run around while you enjoy the view of the dam just a few feet away.

Outdoor Activities

After taking a tour of Mount Morris Dam, experience year round wildlife viewing opportunities from our parking lot. From blue birds to bald eagles and white tailed deer Mount Morris Dam is a great place to observe New York’s abundant natural resources.
Many of these views can be seen on the trails located around the park, including a Finger Lakes Trail. Not into hiking the trails? Bring your bicycle, snowshoes, or skis and enjoy the trails and their views in a different approach.
