Buffalo, NY – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Buffalo District began dredging the Cleveland Harbor federal navigation lower channel.

Dredging started on Tuesday, April 11. The Corps of Engineers is estimated to start upper navigation channel dredging around April 21.

"Our dredging efforts were cut short last fall due to both equipment and weather challenges that created unsafe conditions for our contractor," said USACE Buffalo District Commander Lt. Col. Adam Czekanski. "We are happy to begin dredging again to complete this critical work in support of the community in Cleveland."
