Corps of Engineers to host public meeting regarding Harpersfield Dam Ecosystem Restoration project

The project looks to prevent migration of sea lamprey in the Grand River upstream of the Harpersfield Dam located in the town of Geneva in Ashtabula County, Ohio.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Buffalo District will host a public information meeting Monday, June 29, 2015 at the Harpersfield Community Center, 5604 Cork Cold Springs Rd., Harpersfield, Ohio from 6 – 8p.m.

The purpose of the meeting is to discuss the Harpersfield Dam Ecosystem Restoration project, recommended plan, and study schedule.  The draft detailed project report and environmental assessment document has been prepared and is currently available for review and comment at: http://www.lrb.usace.army.mil/Missions/CivilWorks/PublicReviewDocuments.aspx.  The comment period for the document will end July 17, 2014.
