USACE Buffalo District soliciting comments on impact to cultural resources due to the Blanchard River Watershed Study Recommended Plan

Buffalo, NY – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Buffalo District is soliciting comments regarding cultural resources and historic properties that could potentially be affected by the Recommended Plan as proposed in the Blanchard River Watershed Study. 

USACE is requesting potentially interested parties to help delineate the study’s Area of Potential Effect, define the scope of future activities required to find and evaluate historic properties, and develop plans to resolve both direct and indirect adverse effects resulting from proposed flood risk management measures. 

Public views and comments will be considered in the preparation of a Programmatic Agreement that will be used to direct the study’s review requirements under Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966, as amended.
