About DERP-FUDS
The Department of Defense is committed to correcting environmental damage caused by its activities.
The Defense Environmental Restoration Program (DERP) was established to address properties that have been contaminated by Department of Defense activities.
This includes the cleanup of Formerly Used Defense Sites (FUDS).
Formerly Used Defense Sites are properties that the Department of Defense once owned or used, but no longer controls.
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is the manager of the DERP-FUDS program.
