The Corps of Engineers, Buffalo District and Niagara Falls School District partnership continued to grow with another Flash Teacher Training at the Maple Avenue Elementary school, Niagara Falls, NY, May 13, 2014. Buffalo District Team members presented to an audience of approximately 20 teachers on various engineering topics like: Wetlands Demonstration, Porosity and Permeability, Seed Dispersion, Stream Erosion, and Simple Machine - Ramp. Teachers rotated through the different activities and took away with them the theory behind the activity, a description of how to utilize the activity for that grade level, and a handout with instructions and supply lists.
