The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Buffalo District will host a public information open house from 5-8 p.m., Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at St. Malachi Church located at 2459 Washington Ave., Cleveland, OH.
During this open house, the Corps of Engineers will be available for discussion and to answer questions, at various poster board stations, about proposed open lake placement of sediment dredged from the upper federal navigation channel of the Cuyahoga River. The public is invited to participate at any time during the open house to discuss: dredging in Cleveland Harbor and Cuyahoga River; sampling, testing and evaluation procedures, beneficial use of dredged material, and open lake placement of dredged sediment.
The draft Environmental Assessment for the proposed open lake placement of dredged sediment was made available on February 24, 2014, and the comment period has been extended to April 9, 2014.
