  • Northwestern Water & Sewer District Receives Section 594 Assistance from USACE for the Sugar Ridge/Mercer Road Sanitary Sewer Project

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Buffalo District, entered into an agreement in December 2020 with the Northwestern Water & Sewer District to provide almost $1 Million assistance toward the total costs of sanitary sewer upgrades in the Sugar Ridge/Mercer Road area of Wood County in northwest Ohio.
  • USACE Buffalo District to host ribbon cutting for Athol Springs’ revetment

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Buffalo District will host a ceremonial ribbon cutting event and media site tour, 1:00 p.m. Monday, Nov. 9 at the Athol Springs project site, adjacent the Hoak’s Restaurant located at 4100 Lake Shore Rd, Hamburg, NY 14075.    The ceremony celebrates completion of the $8.2 million, 1,325-foot armor stone revetment of the Lake Erie seawall that will protect Route 5 from Lake Erie wave action and spray.
  • USACE Buffalo District awards contract for seawall repair at LaSalle Park

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Buffalo District awarded a $6.11 million contract to Cold Spring Construction Company, from Akron, NY, on June 25 to repair over 1,300 feet of seawall, which has deteriorated over time due to Lake Erie ice and wave action, at the northern section of LaSalle Park, Buffalo, NY.
  • Buffalo District to conduct Feasibility Study to deepen Port of Oswego

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Buffalo District received approval and funding to initiate the Feasibility Study for the deepening of the Port of Oswego’s navigation channel. The study will look at options to improve the economic efficiency of the harbor and the cost of making those improvements.

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Buffalo District awarded a $5.9 million contract to Kososing Construction out of Cheboygan, Michigan, Aug. 27 to repair a damaged portion of the Cleveland Harbor West Breakwater in Cleveland, Ohio.
  • FCSA signing ceremony planned at Old Fort Niagara

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Buffalo District and the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation, and Historic Preservation will host a Feasibility Cost Sharing Agreement signing ceremony, Friday, September 20, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Old Fort Niagara, GPS Location: 102 Morrow Plaza, Youngstown, NY 14174. The ceremony will take place in front of the French Castle.
