  • Buffalo District begins remediation of the Tonawanda Landfill Vicinity Property FUSRAP Site

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Buffalo District is excited to announce the beginning of remediation at the Formerly Utilized Sites Remedial Action Program (FUSRAP) Tonawanda Landfill Vicinity Site Property. Groundbreaking began on June 12th, 2019 with the first containers shipped off site to a disposal facility in Bellville, Michigan occurring on June 18th, 2019.
  • Corps of Engineers awards contract for Sandusky Harbor dredging

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Buffalo District awarded a $1.364 million contract to conduct dredging of the federal navigation channel and harbor areas in Sandusky Harbor during summer 2019.
  • Corps of Engineers awards contract for Little Sodus Bay west pier

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Buffalo District awarded approximately $135,000 on a contract to temporarily secure the damaged sheet pile along the west pier in Little Sodus Bay, located in the Village of Fair Haven, New York.
  • LaSalle Park Shoreline Protection Project moving forward

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Buffalo District and the City of Buffalo have signed an amended Project Partnership Agreement for the LaSalle Park Shoreline Protection project allowing the project to move forward fully-funded by the federal government.
